Apple AR zip in. Readable JSON out.
Use this when a pipeline wants glTF JSON from a USDZ. The converter reads the USDA stage and writes packed glTF. Prefer USDZ to GLB when you need one attachment.

Source USDZ, target glTF, drop, download JSON.
1
Source is USDZ. The File API reads it in this tab. Nothing is posted. Keep it under 80 MB.
2
The USDZ mesh is written as glTF JSON.
3
Inspect the JSON or pack to GLB.
This page is only USDZ → glTF. Other pairs have their own keep and lose notes so they do not repeat this conversion.
| On this conversion | What happens |
|---|---|

| Drops | The Quick Look zip. You now have JSON. |
| Next step | Edit the JSON, or pack to GLB. Keep the USDZ for iOS. |

USDZ as the source: Materials and textures stay when the source has them. Measured 2026-09-13 by running this converter’s own loaders and exporters headlessly. How every format was measured.
USDZ is parsed with the File API. glTF is written in memory. The Quick Look zip. You now have JSON. That is a format rule, not an upload. Files over 80 MB are refused because RAM is the limit.

Source USDZ, target glTF, drop, download JSON. No Blender and no account.
GLB for a single web file. glTF when you need JSON. USDZ stays the Apple AR original.
It is a pack change of what the USDZ loader kept. USDA extras the loader drops do not reappear in JSON.
No. USDZ is parsed here and glTF is written in memory. There is no convert API.
Yes. Open the USDZ viewer if you only need to orbit. Convert when the next tool actually wants glTF.
Edit the JSON, or pack to GLB. Keep the USDZ for iOS.
