Apple AR zip in the tab. No iPhone required to inspect it.
USDZ is a zip of USDA used by Quick Look on iPhone and iPad. This viewer reads that zip with the File API and draws the mesh with WebGL. Loose USDA and USDC files are refused. Use it to check an editor export or a client AR file before you convert to GLB or STL.

Drop the .usdz. Orbit. Close the tab when you are done. Nothing is posted.
1
The File API reads the zip in this tab. Loose USDA and USDC files are refused. Keep it under 80 MB.
2
Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom. PBR shows when the USDA stage carried it.
3
Convert USDZ to GLB for a web file, or USDZ to STL for a slicer.
USDZ is Apple’s AR pack. GLB is the web pack. This page is the checkpoint between those two jobs.
| Topic | USDZ | GLB |
|---|---|---|
| Home | Files, Messages, Safari on iPhone and iPad | Web, AR elsewhere, Generate output |
| This product | Open, convert, and write | Open, convert, and write |
| Pack | Zip of USDA | One binary |
| Loose USDA/USDC | Not opened; zip as USDZ first | Not applicable |
Blend and COLLADA still need an export to FBX or GLB from the source app. USDZ from this editor and from Apple tools opens here.
Parsing and drawing both happen on the device. Close the tab and the object URL is gone. That is why you can inspect a client AR file you would not put on a random upload form.

Apple AR / Quick Look. Zip of USDA. Geometry and PBR when the stage has them. Read and written in this browser.
Open this USDZ viewer, drop the .usdz, and orbit. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge with WebGL are enough. No plugin and no account.
No. The File API and WebGL both run on this device. DevTools will not show the mesh leaving the page.
The zip needs an USDA stage. Empty files, non-zip bytes, and loose .usda/.usdc are refused. Re-export USDZ from the source app or from this site’s editor.
Yes. Open the USDZ to GLB converter or USDZ to STL converter from this page. Still in the browser.
Yes. Opening a USDZ is free. Generate still uses credits. The logo editor stays free.
Viewing is free. Convert USDZ to GLB for the web, or to STL for a slicer.
