3D logo editor: chrome, gold, and glass in the browser
The 3D logo editor extrudes an uploaded SVG or PNG, or typed text, into a 3D mesh, finishes it in chrome, gold, glass, or another preset, and exports PNG, GLB, OBJ, STL, or MP4. Free, no account.
What is the 3D logo editor?
Upload or type. Chrome, gold, or glass out.
The editor extrudes a mark or wordmark in your browser. Pick a material, orbit the viewport, then download PNG, GLB, or a 480p MP4. It is separate from Generate, which builds a mesh from a photo or prompt. Free, no signup, with a small 3dlogo.io mark on exports. Pro removes the mark and adds 4K and HD MP4.

How the editor works
From a file or a name to a finished 3D mark in three steps. PNG and GLB stay free.
1
Upload a mark or type a name
Drop an SVG or PNG, or type a wordmark. The viewport extrudes it in the browser. No account to start.
2
Pick chrome, gold, or glass
Materials, depth, bevel, and lighting update live. Orbit until the mark reads as physical.
3
Export PNG or GLB
Free stills go to 1024px, plus GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL, USDZ, and a 480p MP4, each with a small 3dlogo.io mark. Pro removes the mark and adds 4K and HD MP4.
What can you adjust in the editor?
Seven controls, and they are the whole editor. Depth and bevel decide the shape, material and environment decide the finish, and motion decides what an exported loop does. Everything updates in the viewport as you move it.
| Control | What it changes | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Source | Whether the shape comes from a file you upload or from letters you type. Upload takes SVG or PNG; Text sets a wordmark in a chosen face. | Upload or Text |
| Depth | How far the flat outline is pushed back into the third dimension. Low depth reads as a thick sticker; high depth reads as a solid object. | 5 to 500 |
| Bevel | The chamfer on the front edge. It is the control that decides whether a mark looks metal, because a bevel is what catches a highlight along the edge. | Off, or size 0 to 50 |
| Material | The surface finish: chrome, gold, glass, holographic, brushed metal, gradient, and the plastics, clays, and stones in the catalogue. | Preset catalogue |
| Environment | The lighting the material reflects. A mirror finish has no colour of its own, so the environment is what you are actually seeing in it. | Studio, Sunset, Dawn, Night, Shop, Woods, Loft, City, plus the Light and Shine sliders |
| Background | The colour behind the mark in the viewport and in a non-transparent export. PNG can be exported with alpha instead. | Any colour |
| Motion | What moves in an exported MP4 loop. Orbit moves the camera around a still mark; the rest move the mark itself. One motion at a time. | Still, Orbit, Spin, Tumble, Reveal, Pulse, each with a speed |
What the editor will not do
The editor extrudes the mark you already own. Knowing where that stops saves a wasted upload.
- The editor never changes the shape you give it. It extrudes your outline exactly; it does not redraw, simplify, or improve the mark. If you want a new object invented for you, that is Generate.
- Live text in an SVG is not a shape. Convert type to outlines before uploading, or type the wordmark into the Text panel instead and let the editor set it.
- A PNG is traced before it can be extruded, so contrast and edge quality decide the result. A vector source always extrudes more cleanly than a raster one.
- One mark at a time. The editor is not a scene builder: there is no second object, no floor plane, and no camera rig beyond the orbit.
- Free exports carry a small 3dlogo.io mark and cap stills at 1024px and video at 480p. Pro removes the mark and raises both.
Frequently asked questions
Is the 3D logo editor free?
Yes. The editor, materials, live preview, 1024px PNG, and 3D model exports are free. No account is required to start. Create an account later if you want saved projects, sharing, or Generate credits.
What can I export?
Free exports PNG or JPEG up to 1024px, GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL, USDZ, and a 480p MP4 loop, each with a small 3dlogo.io watermark. Pro removes the watermark and adds 2K/4K stills and 720p or 1080p MP4 loops.
Do I need design experience?
No. Type or upload, pick a material, and export. You do not need Blender.
Can I use the logo commercially?
Yes. Logos you create can be used for personal and commercial work.
How is the editor different from Generate?
The editor extrudes a mark or word you already have. Generate turns a photo or a short prompt into a separate GLB mesh. Convert or inspect that mesh in the free file tools without an account.
